Does that seem like a stupid question? It’s obvious that the “real” work of the dissertation is to write an extended academic paper that contributes to the literature in your field, right? I’m not so sure of that.  I thought I would start a bit of a blog to share general information about the concepts and strategies of taking an approach beyond the usual strategies to doing the dissertation (or any other huge, vitally important, and at least somewhat intimidating project). A lot of work.
